Arcade
L'arcade est un genre de jeux vidéo qui utilise une mécanique de jeu simple. Souvent, peu d'attention est accordée à l'intrigue et au développement des personnages. Les arcades sont conçues pour un divertissement facile sans se plonger dans la nature des événements. L'essentiel est le processus de jeu et sa simplicité. Les arcades peuvent inclure des jeux de différents genres. Par exemple, dans les courses d'arcade, il n'y a pas de physique réaliste, des armes sont souvent utilisées, et encore plus souvent, des bonus peuvent être ramassés sur les pistes, tandis que le contrôle se résume à trois boutons : à gauche, à droite et accélération. De la même manière, le processus de jeu est simplifié dans d'autres genres d'arcade.
