This science-fiction role-playing game with visual novel elements follows Captain Kayto Shields after his homeworld is conquered and his nation falls under enemy rule. Alongside his First Officer and the crew of the Sunrider, he seeks allies to reclaim his planet and oppose a threat to the galaxy.
The player assembles a squad of mech pilots, commands an assault carrier, and allocates limited funds between research, weapons, and mech upgrades. Battles use turn-based tactics, with victory depending on how well the squad makes use of each mech’s strengths, weaknesses, and equipment. Between missions, the player can interact with allies, learn their backstories, and help shape their destinies; the story also features political intrigue, moral choices, and romance.
