A futuristic run-and-gun entry in the Contra series follows the Hard Corps task force as it confronts a new threat five years after the war with the Aliens. The story unfolds through cutscenes and includes branching choices that affect events and lead to different possible endings.
Players move through side-scrolling stages, shooting enemies and fighting bosses. Four characters with distinct traits are available, and some stages feature a hoverbike that can transform into a robot. The game supports solo play and two-player co-op, with each player choosing a different character.

Un jeu avec plusieurs terminaisons, qui peuvent être passées sur un temps différent. Il y a 4 personnages jouables qui diffèrent non seulement par l'ensemble / puissance de l'arme, mais aussi la taille de leur modèle (en particulier le petit cyborg), ce qui ajoute également de la variété au gameplay. En général, Konami a sorti pas mal de bons jeux, à commencer par 8 préfixes mordants tels que Zen: The Intergalactic Ninja, Tiny Toon Adventures, Teenage Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters, Sunset Riders, Sunset Riders, Sunset Riders, Sunset Riders,, Le chacal, ainsi qu'un autre contraste avec un détachement de 4 caractères - Contra Force.

Есть 4 играбельных персонажей, которые отличаются не только набором/мощностью оружия, но и размером своей модельки (в частности мелкий киборг), что тоже добавляет разнообразия в геймплей. В целом компания Konami выпустила не мало хороших игр, начиная ещё с 8 — битных приставок, такие как Zen: the Intergalactic Ninja, Tiny Toon Adventures, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters, Sunset Riders, Jackal, а также другая контра с отрядом из 4 персонажей — Contra Force.
