Zotrix is an arcade space shooter inspired by arcade games from the 1980s and early 1990s. The player escorts a cargo ship through deep space and fights aliens in enemy territory, maneuvering among hostile ships, clearing the perimeter, and completing objectives across more than 50 missions. As the campaign progresses, enemy ships grow larger and more powerful.
Completing objectives earns credits that can be spent on ship upgrades, including decoys, shields, and laser boosters, or on a new fighter. Space stations also have trading rooms where the player can exchange gathered resources such as cobalt, nickel, and palladium. Choosing routes between stations lets the player shape a strategy for tackling the missions.
