RunGunJumpGun is a 2D platformer set in the Extax System, where a swelling sun is devouring planets. The player controls a scavenger from beyond the system’s borders who searches for Atomiks, its primary resource, while the inhabitants of the remaining worlds speculate about the cause of the catastrophe.
The scavenger moves constantly through levels filled with traps and obstacles, and the player switches between two firing modes: shooting downward propels the character into the air, while shooting forward clears the way. Quick respawns return the player to the action after death, and Shield Mode slows movement to make the challenge more manageable. The game features three worlds, more than 120 levels, and a Marathon mode for record attempts.
