A futuristic hack-and-slash set in Gamindustri, where peace has settled in: journalists Dengekiko and Famitsu challenge the goddesses and CPU Candidates to complete a series of missions, but the assignment soon leads to a bigger story. In free-roaming stages, the heroines fight large groups of enemies in real time, chaining together ground and aerial combos.
Two characters take part in each battle, and the player can switch between them while making use of their different strengths and weaknesses. Filling the EXE Drive Gauge unlocks two tiers of special attacks, with occasional team super attacks. Taking damage tears the characters’ outfits and lowers their defense, but increases their critical rate and fills the EXE Drive Gauge faster.
