Horizon Shift is a single-screen arcade shooter built around waves of enemies, with platforming elements. The player defends the horizon against an advancing attack, destroying enemies while jumping and using bombs. Its gameplay combines the format of a classic arcade shooter with platforming mechanics.
A risk-and-reward multiplier system helps build up power-ups, while a bomb can be charged and used to destroy enemies. The game features seven modes, options to customise the experience, boss battles and bonus rounds. Its soundtrack blends house, electronica and chiptune.
