An arcade racer with combat elements, Fireburst sends vehicles onto tracks filled with shortcuts, obstacles and cooling zones. Players choose from 16 vehicles, including trucks, buggies, muscle cars and 4x4s, then race to the finish while using fire-based attacks to disable rivals. The single-player mode offers challenges against AI opponents, as well as the option to set up a custom race.
The game features 16 characters with distinct personalities and taunts, while vehicle classes have their own Fireboost abilities: Fireball, Fireblast, Firewall and Firewheels. There are 12 tracks for single-player races and five for multiplayer. Players can compete in local split-screen races for up to four participants or online races for up to eight.
