Divekick is a two-button fighting game with no directional-pad movement. Players choose when to jump and dive into an attack, aiming to land the first hit: that wins a round, and the first player to take five rounds wins the match. Success depends on timing, spacing, quick reactions, and reading an opponent’s moves.
The roster features characters with distinct fighting styles and special techniques, each with a story that includes an introduction, an ending, and rival battles. The game offers a single-player mode, local matches for two players, and ranked or unranked online play. Controls can be reconfigured for local matches.
