This open-world role-playing game combines real-time space combat with destructible ships. The player takes the role of a nameless clone created by an artificial intelligence with an unclear objective, and can either follow its orders or act independently while exploring a star system shaped by competing factions and a dynamic economy.
Combat focuses on ships and their interiors: the player moves through each vessel as damage to the crew and modules affects its ability to fight. Losing life support, sensors or engines can endanger the crew or leave the ship stranded. Ships and stations can be explored, captured and dismantled for resources; players can also mine materials, design ships and venture into increasingly dangerous sectors to find new technology.
