Vertigo Rogue is an arcade action game in which players pilot a heavily armed helicopter and fight enemies on land, at sea and in the air. The protagonist is an ex-convict and mercenary pilot who was preparing to retire, but is drawn into a plot and forced to work as a flying mafia hitman amid a conflict between seven criminal organizations.
The game features 38 varied missions and a nonlinear storyline. Combat offers eight weapon types, while helicopter controls use a simple two-thumb system. The action takes place across a large, detailed landscape with a populated environment.
