A football mode based on the 2016 European Championship is integrated into PES 2016 and features the tournament’s 24 qualified national teams. It includes the competition’s presentation and iconography, the Stade de France, which hosted the final, and squads aligned with those of the qualified teams.

Fifteen teams are fully licensed and wear their latest kits, including England, Wales, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Italy and hosts France. Player ID and Team ID systems reproduce the playing styles of individual footballers and teams.
