A first-person tactical shooter about the Rainbow Unit’s fight against a global terrorist organization. The player leads a squad of elite soldiers through 11 missions, including operations at an oil platform, an embassy and a rebel camp in Africa. Some levels are based on the original Rainbow Six and have been reworked for this game.
During missions, teammates can be ordered to provide cover, fire or use grenades, while tools such as snake cameras and silencers support covert infiltration. The squad includes three new members, each specializing in reconnaissance, demolition or stealth. The campaign supports co-op with two other players, and a separate multiplayer mode features exclusive maps for matches of up to 10 participants.
