This action-adventure unfolds in a fantasy parallel world, following Lyra’s journey north to rescue a friend kidnapped by the mysterious Gobblers. Accompanied by her daemon Pantalaimon, she explores frozen lands, collects items, and works with other characters to evade or deceive her opponents, including agents of the Magisterium and a dangerous spy fly.
In some sections, players control Iorek Byrnison, an armored polar bear who fights with special attacks and protects Lyra on the journey. Exploration spans 13 locations, while the mysterious golden alethiometer can be used to unlock secrets and minigames.
