Tequila Zombies 3 is a platform shooter about fighting an invasion of zombies, vampires, and demons. In Mexico, Miguel survives an attack at a bar and sets out for the United States with Jaqueline, a police officer; along the way, they gain an unusual ally.
Players take one of three heroes, each with special powers, and battle hordes of enemies using a range of weapons. The story is told through cutscenes.
