A tactical role-playing game set in the Suikoden universe follows Kyril, a young adventurer investigating the sudden appearance of monsters in the Island Nations and the secrets of the legendary Rune Cannons. The story presents another perspective on the events of Suikoden IV.
In turn-based battles, players command a party drawn from more than 80 characters and use terrain whose elemental properties affect combat. Characters can perform combination attacks as their friendships grow, while skills, weapons, and items allow the team to be customized. The game also features minigames, side quests, hidden modes, and battles against special bosses.
