Stone Rage is a multiplayer open-world survival game set in the Pleistocene, where players take the role of a Cro-Magnon or a Neanderthal. To make a home in a harsh landscape populated by dangerous animals, they gather food and materials, hunt, and craft weapons, clothing, and tools. The character also needs water and shelter, while packs help carry supplies back to crafting stations.
Players can join tribes for hunts and build homes ranging from ready-made huts to custom fortresses with their own layouts and furnishings. Territory can be marked with claim signs and defended with fortifications. Ritual circles let a character call on spirits and take the form of a mammoth or a saber-toothed cat, exploring the world and joining hunts as a beast.
