Star Trek: Starfleet Academy is a space action and flight simulator about training as a cadet at Starfleet Academy. Across more than 25 missions, the player faces tests of ingenuity, leadership, and courage, aiming to graduate at the top of the class. Scenarios range from combat exercises to the Kobayashi Maru test and a recreation of Captain Kirk’s near-disastrous confrontation with Khan Noonien Singh.
The missions feature 30 starships, including a cloaking Klingon Bird-of-Prey and a Romulan heavy cruiser. Captain Kirk, Commander Chekov, and Captain Sulu provide instruction and guidance during the training. The game also includes filmed footage featuring actors from the original Star Trek series.
