In the year 5781, the player is tasked with building and leading a space station in a remote corner of the galaxy. Rooms and corridors are designed for the crew, while visitors are drawn in with goods that help fund the station’s growth.
Exploration spans 30 star systems and more than a hundred planets, randomly generated for each game. Missions bring encounters with allies and enemies, while resources and loot can be gathered for factories. Planetary and asteroid surfaces also host real-time combat with RPG elements, and collected equipment can be used to outfit officers.
