An operational-level, turn-based strategy game set on the Eastern Front of World War II. Players command German or Soviet armies across a 3D map spanning the area from Berlin to Stalingrad, taking part in one of the largest military campaigns in history.
The 108-turn campaign begins with Operation Barbarossa and continues through the Soviet advance on Berlin. Four historical operations are also available: Barbarossa, Case Blue, Citadel, and Bagration. Seasonal weather affects tactics, forcing armies to hold out through winter until reinforcements arrive in summer. Fog of war, supply lines, and the ability to cut off enemy supplies or reinforce units in key locations also shape the campaign.
