Runeous: Part One is a visual novel about a small group of heroes in Ceir'a, a world scarred by past wars. Its cities are overcrowded, and ancient runestones with magical properties power industry; humans study them in an attempt to uncover secrets that have long been lost.
Leif, a young runic apprentice, meets Eme, a woman from the Jacawi tribe. They must overcome the differences between their peoples and unite the factions against a rising empire as the fabric of nature begins to fall apart. The first part introduces the characters and central storyline, which is set to continue in the next episode.
