Rencounter is a turn-based RPG roguelike about a squad trying to survive in a gloomy world of procedurally generated mazes. The player explores networks of underground tunnels and rooms, fights enemies, and searches for valuable items and equipment.
Exploration and turn-based combat alternate with quieter intervals for assessing the situation, distributing provisions, changing gear, and managing inventory. Characters can be developed during the journey, which leads toward discovering the cause of the events.
