Project 5: Sightseer is a multiplayer sandbox RPG with action elements, set in a procedurally generated open world that can be explored solo or with other players. Starting with a scanner and mining laser, players search for resources and artifacts, travel through different biomes, and build outposts. Resources are limited, so gathering materials requires finding new deposits or developing alternative ways to produce them.
Outposts extract resources and conduct research that unlocks technologies, structures, vehicles, and weapons. Vehicles can be customized with different components and weapons, while bases can be defended against threats and other players. Online players can form factions, and creative mode with no building costs is available in single-player and on private servers.
