This arcade platformer follows Pac-Man as he helps a lost fairy return to Fairyland, then makes his way back home. Along the route, he avoids ghosts, water jets and quicksand. Pac-Man can run, jump over obstacles and collect large Power Pellets, which make the ghosts vulnerable.
Each trip is divided into several sections: the first take him and the fairy toward her home, while the final section sends him back to his family. Completing the journey starts another with the same objective at a higher difficulty. Pac-Land also uses parallax scrolling in its backgrounds to create a sense of depth.
