This medieval kingdom-management simulator in an 8-bit style follows a ruler trying to prepare a struggling country for an invasion from the south. The economy and morale are low, and rumors tell of assassins in town. Decisions shape the story, while characters remember the king’s actions and respond to them.
The player manages the kingdom’s army, food, gold, faith, happiness, and health. Options include trading, forming alliances, raising the undead, and executing subjects; poor choices can lead to the ruler’s death, and the game has dozens of endings. Minigames include cutting wood, mining for gold, trading at a market, and playing dice with the princess.
