John Woo presents Stranglehold is a third-person action shooter and a spiritual sequel to the film Hard Boiled. Inspector Tequila confronts Hong Kong crime lords, while the kidnapping of his ex-wife by the Russian mob in Chicago tests his loyalty to the police and drives him to save his family.
Combat combines acrobatic movement with gunplay and is presented with a cinematic style. The environment can also be extensively destroyed during firefights.
