This artificial life and evolution simulator models a two-dimensional ecosystem in which creatures search for food, avoid danger, and compete to survive. Their bodies and neural-network brains are encoded in DNA; creatures sense their surroundings, move, eat, attack, and reproduce, while random mutations can help or hinder their offspring’s chances of survival.
Evolution unfolds automatically through natural selection: successful traits spread, while unsuccessful ones die out. The simulation can be watched on its own, started with a scenario featuring premade creatures, or shaped by editing the world, adjusting its conditions, and intervening as it runs.
