Gran Vitreous is a space shooter that combines classic arena combat with the loot-based progression of an action RPG. The player fights through a randomly generated galaxy featuring asteroid fields, gravity wells, large motherships, and clusters of enemy forces. Each zone can also have random conditions that alter the encounter, such as tougher enemies or overcharged ship weapons.
Defeated enemies drop items and credits used to improve the ship’s hull, shields, utility equipment, and weapons. Equipment has randomly assigned attributes, while experience gained in combat raises the ship’s level and unlocks access to higher-level items. Skill points can be spent on defenses, rate of fire, or loot quality, as the journey leads toward powerful enemies and bosses at the edge of charted space.
