A roguelike strategy adventure about leading an army on an expedition mandated by the Heavens. On randomized maps, the player chooses routes and encounters events, while recruiting followers and purchasing or gathering relics for the party. Decisions made during the expedition shape its course and preparation for battles.
Combat takes place in real time, with formations chosen to suit different enemies and tactics. The player organizes followers into squads and develops their skills; a unit’s position in a formation can grant it additional traits, while randomized growth patterns make each army’s development distinct. Individual units can also be controlled by the AI.
