A music game centered on DJ performances, in which players mix tracks for a virtual crowd. DJ Hero features more than 100 songs reshaped into over 80 original mixes, with controls built around a dedicated turntable controller equipped with a rotating deck, sample buttons, an effects dial, and a crossfader.
Performances involve scratching, blending tracks, crossfading, and using samples and effects. In multiplayer, two DJs can compete, or a second player can emcee over any track with a microphone. The game also includes mixes for cooperative play using a turntable controller alongside a Guitar Hero guitar controller.
