A side-scrolling platformer set in the Stone Age, Chuck Rock follows a caveman setting out to rescue his kidnapped wife. The journey takes him through increasingly difficult levels filled with enemies and obstacles.
Chuck fights ancient people and monsters with a special move and rocks. The levels also feature puzzles: a large stone can help him reach higher ground, while a pterosaur can carry him across a gap. Useful items restore his health.
