This science-fiction first-person shooter follows the loss of contact with a colony in the Icarus system and the investigation into the fate of the CDF Goliath. In Story Mode, the player controls Zak Thomas and explores the spacecraft and Icarus 3 station, encountering randomized events, enemies, and objectives. The story develops according to events and player choices, and can lead to different endings.
Other modes focus on combat and survival: one tasks the player with holding out until a rescue ship arrives, while another pits them against successive waves of enemies. Challenge Mode tests combat ability, agility, and problem-solving. The arsenal includes laser and plasma weapons, and enemies range from zombies and aliens to armed survivors.
