Brigand: Oaxaca

Brigand: Oaxaca is a post-apocalyptic role-playing game and first-person shooter set in Mexico, where rival tribes, mutated ghouls, and demons threaten the survivors. Its branching story, with multiple endings, leads through banana plantations, toxic caverns, the city of Pochutla, jungles, and a flooded coastline; disease, hunger, and insanity also endanger the protagonist.

Players explore the region, move freely, and choose how to deal with its inhabitants and surroundings: they can, for example, leap across rooftops, steal, and use weapons. Skills improve with points, while special abilities unlock options ranging from weapon upgrades to controlling the weather. The game also features crafting, a squad of up to four characters who can be commanded or controlled directly, and a world editor for altering the story or creating a new one.
