This science-fiction side-scrolling action game follows a mission to clear a space station overrun by mutated alien parasites. Major John “Dutch” Cane leads a platoon of mercenary commandos tasked with eliminating the threat before it reaches the station’s control center and endangers colonized space.
In Blowout, the player fights through ten levels against a range of enemies using experimental weapons, including a pump-action shotgun, flamethrower, plasma rifle, machine gun, and nail gun. Firing is possible in any direction, and walls, ceilings, and floors can be destroyed to uncover secrets and power-ups. Enemies include mutated beasts and alien insects, with 14 types in total.
