A two-player game about lovers separated by light-years in deep space. Each character walks along the shore of a simulated ocean, thinking of the other, with their thoughts drawing on the literature of Marguerite Duras. An empty beach, strong winds, gentle music and a small colony of electric seagulls accompany their solitary walks.
When the characters meet in cyberspace, they touch each other’s holographic bodies and communicate through a surreal game of chess. Exploring the coast and its surroundings, players come across unexpected finds, including an abandoned tennis court, a heap of coal and a dead dog. The places they can visit include a café, a villa, a casino and the ruins of an old colonial mansion.
