Assault Squadron is a sci-fi shoot-’em-up about an alien attack on Earth. Players take control of a member of an elite space combat force sent by the Federal Alliance to fight the invaders and save the planet.
The story campaign features battles against enemy fleets and bosses, while Arcade Mode lets players jump straight into combat. Ships have different stats and abilities, and their weapon systems can be upgraded. Special abilities enable chain attacks. Battles unfold from both top-down and side-scrolling perspectives.
