A graphical adventure in the style of classic Sierra games, Tale of Two Kingdoms is set in a world of Celtic mythology and fairy tales. In the realm of Theylinn, the king seeks help from former enemies to repel a goblin invasion, while the player becomes entangled in intrigue and fairy trickery and is stalked by an evil sorcerer with plans of its own.
The game focuses on exploring the world and solving puzzles in a point-and-click format. Alongside the main story, it includes sidequests and multiple endings. Tale of Two Kingdoms won four AGS Awards, including Best Animation and Best Puzzles.
