This text adventure follows a professional adventurer hired by a wizard to recover a magic ring from a castle seized by a warlock. The hero explores rooms and winding passages, solves puzzles and riddles, collects treasure, avoids traps and deals with hostile characters.
Actions are entered as short verb–noun commands, and the game describes their results and the surroundings. Treasure can be placed in a safe to earn points, and completing the adventure requires solving six riddles. The lamp must be used sparingly: its charge is sufficient for the entire adventure, but no more.
